Curly cress, also called pepper cress and pepper grass, is a very spicy microgreen. Its leaves have a distinct flavor with a horseradish bite.
Curly cress has a powerful flavor, so a little goes a long way. It can bring heat to sauces and soups. Try blending it with mashed potatoes or incorporating it in a white sauce.
Cresses are a good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), Thiamin and Niacin, and a very good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Copper and Manganese.
